Signs, Signs, Everywhere a Sign ... Tin Signs

Looking for an inexpensive way to decorate ... think Tin Signs.

If you have cable ... you have seen or at least clicked past all of the home decorating shows on T.V.  It's amazing how a little paint, a little imagination and a little money can change a whole room.

Looking for an inexpensive way to decorate your place retro or with a touch of nostalgia ... again,  think "Tin Signs."

Tin signs are colorful, nostalgic, sometimes funny; and inepensive.  Plus you can pick a slew of  venues or a theme you want.  They are perfect for defining a certain space or setting the tone in your home or office. No matter how large or small or "what" space you want to decorate; there is a tin sign to match it. For example: Tin signs can be used to create a coffee lovers spot in a corner of your home.  Have a garage ... try pinup girls.  Gun collector or hunter ... there's a sign for that too.  If you need inspiration ... go to your nearest "Cracker Barrel" restaurant, or antique themed restaurant.  You can see how they incorporate tin signs with antiques and other "country decor," which creates a warm  homey feel.

  • Want to dress up your kitchen as a diner?  Try coffee themed Tin Signs, arranged in groups of 3's or 4's, in a corner of your kitchen or nook.  Add some donut, fruit or even cute "cook" signs to the group to spice things up.
  • Use your tin signs to serve as an accent to your color scheme. Using multiples of 3 or more signs, framed in a complementary color as the background or matte, you can bring out the background colors of the chosen base paint. Choose a complementary colored frame for all 3 signs to accent the background hue, or, use differently framed and colored Tin Signs to add contrasting flashes of color.
  • They can  be used to add color to a neutral space by framing the signs with a black, brown, or tan frame and allowing the  colors of the Tin Signs to provide tone to your space.
  • Tin signs are perfect to decorate a child's room. Batman for example.  Colorful, super heros are popular  and very boyish.  For a girl, try I Love Lucy or even one with puppies or kittens.
  • And, I don't know any man with a garage who doesn't love his pinups, his John Deere or Route 66 signs .. they make an inexpensive gift from the kids.
  •  If you are crafty there are quite a few ways you can use the signs.  Make a serving tray with the sign as the bottom of the tray; create a calendar; you can give them as humorous gifts, as regular gifts and actually as signs that direct you somewhere ... for example:  the Beach.

A great place to find these signs is over at Station  They have good
prices and a huge selection.  Check them out!
